Ol Doinyo Lomboro is located in Central Laikipia with the most spectacular variety in landscape. The low-lying land around the Ewaso Nyiro River is bordered by vibrant ridgelines dotted with ancient dryland forest remnants. In contrast, the plateaus of the western ridges which advertise the edge of the great Rift Valley, form flat grassy plains with brilliant escarpment views.

Laikipia Wilderness started here as a single, classic safari camp. We now offer three different locations in the Laikipia Wilderness designed to provide an authentic safari experience while contributing to the local area economically and environmentally.

Across all three camps, we offer a huge range of activities providing an adventurous experience for those who wish to do more than just look at Africa through a window. We would like to share one of the most beautiful corners of northern Kenya with you, and we welcome families of all ages as well as couples, singles and photographers.

The freedom of this area means you can discover Africa in a more connected way than just witnessing it out of a moving vehicle. Explore rocky outcrops, and walk along the river that carves it way through this part of Laikipia with an experienced guide. Venture through valleys and on top of escarpments with endless views of wilderness. Stop and listen and watch for a while.
